About Samaki

Samaki started with a simple goal – to create high quality fishing rods, lures and accessories specifically for the Australian market.

We wanted to create a high quality range of fishing rods specifically designed for Australian anglers, fishing for Australian species in Australian waters. To do this, we spent countless hours sourcing the finest materials, from the graphite and carbon used in our rods, down to the guides, grips and reel seats, every component was chosen to enhance the performance of each rod and its intended application.

But quality materials and components are only part of the process. To achieve a truly high standard they must be perfectly crafted. Countless hours were invested and many prototypes tested in perfecting each range. Hours were spent casting, retrieving and fighting fish to thoroughly test each rod in the Samaki range. Each time we found something that could be improved upon we went back and made the required modifications. Only after many hours of testing and perfecting could a rod bare the name of Samaki.

That same philosophy has carried over into our range of lures and accessories, including our industry leading deep water jigs. After fighting and landing countless numbers of hard fighting fish species in Australian waters, we can confidently state that our jigs and lures are the equal of any found in the world today.
